Fenton Radon Testing

Why Care About Radon Gas?

Radon is a naturally occurring cancer-causing chemical. It is well known to cause lung cancer in humans.

38%+ of properties in the Fenton area have a radon gas saturation above the carcinogenic amount.

Radon gas filters out of the silt, not the structure. No property, newly built or longstanding, is exempt from radon gas infiltration.

Each property meshes with the soil underneath it uniquely. This is part of the reason why homes next to each other may have significantly different radon levels.

Radon gas saturation will fluctuate every day and with the seasons within a safe range. A one-time radon measurement measures a small period and is a reliable bellwether of whether or not the house has a radon problem.

Radon has a lifespan of only days. radon gas levels will not be greater if the structure is closed for years or months.

How Does Radon Seep into the House?

It may surprise you to know that homes are not 100% airtight.

Gaseous contaminants may enter through every grounded vent in the building such as sump pumps, pipeworks, and even minor flaws in the foundation.

Your way to know with confidence the accumulation of radon in the house is to contract a radon test.

Our Radon Gas Testing Procedure

Inspecting a dwelling for radon gas is a special process when doing a real estate sale.

Our radon specialist will place the radon detectors in the dwelling. Radon detectors will be located in crawl spaces and on the first floor. For most properties, a few analyzers are left in the structure for the radon gas test.

Our radon gas expert will close all windows, shut the vent on the fireplace, and confirm the air conditioning is running in the prescribed manner. Your radon expert will also mark every required window with tamper indication tape to ensure that closed home standards are upheld.

The radon monitors are left in the house for a few days measuring the saturation of radon gas in the property. A technician will return to the house once the radon test is done to remove the analyzers and generate a report.

Please call today for a free estimate! Our radon testing staff will come out to hear about your property, measure your space, and get you on target for making your Fenton property one you can take pride in!
