Septic & Well

Also known as an ONSITE WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM (OWTS) ASSESSMENT.  A septic system receives, treats and disposes of unwanted wastewater and solids from a building’s plumbing system. The septic system should be inspected once a year, including as soon as the house is put on the market for sale. This will enhance the home’s value and avoid any liability issues that might result from a malfunctioning system. If a well is present, the septic inspector will include a code compliant inspection of the well.  It is in the interest of a prospective buyer to insist that the septic system be inspected before they purchase the home.

What To Expect

Your OWTS Assessment will determine exactly what type of Onsite System the site has. A typical MO Septic System can be seen  HERE.

  • Shape of and functionality of the Onsite Septic System & mechanical components
  • Size of tanks and pumping systems
  • Site diagram of the system
  • Inspection of pump, aerator, bio filters & dispersal systems
